Woy Woy is the earliest, multi-storied, modernist building in Australia.
It is an architecturally significant, modernist block of apartments built in 1936 by the acclaimed architect, Geoffrey Mewton. The building on the bayfront in Elwood is nostalgic and loved by all Melbournians. A complete renovation of the interiors and an external paint refresh in 2021 has stayed true to the original building and given it a new lease of life. SML worked closely with the owners of the building on their new website and identity that has been inspired by the glory of the original building and easy-going Elwood environment. WoyWoy today is a series of rental apartments and a much-loved film location. The rooftop has 360% degree breathtaking views of Melbourne, the Bay, and the CBD.
