Designing an artful running space
The installation showcasing the Nike Lunarglide running and sportswear collection was built in a Surry Hills penthouse in Sydney. We created a fluorescent ‘track’ that connected the entire space from the outside to the inside and gave a visual base for Nike to video test wearers on their individual running style and gait.
The acrylic sculptural furniture was purpose built to morph with the track into a complete dimensional display for the sneaker collection. The colour palette featured the latest Nike Lunarglide green and the distinct chrome yellow synonymous with Nike LiveStrong. On a completely different scale, the Nike digital watch release was something we wanted to feature in an artful way. We commissioned sculptor Dion Horstmans to create metal sculptures to house the watches within their own dimensional space.
